The analysis of problems related to corruption shows there are in the ECOWAS space, serious difficulties in the practice of the rule of law. These difficulties relate to a deficit in terms of good governance. Good governance is the term derived from the macro-economic theory and the Anglo-Saxon administrative science. It was released in the 1990s by the World Bank as a necessary condition of development policies.
