Peace and development are closely linked, there is no development without peace and no peace can only be sustainable if it is not supported by development. You cannot build a lasting peace forgetting a large part of the population (such as women). Men are the main soldiers and combatants.

Women are rarely the cause of armed conflict,

Women have a decisive role in the promotion of tolerance and non -violence role because they are the first school of life. They can express their wives influence, by rule integrity and respectability in their environment. In traditional Africa , the education of children is the case of the first woman , she is playing therefore the greatest role in the transmission of core values ??to new generations : temperance , solidarity, respect for truth, meaning of work and effort , respect for hierarchy , sense of honesty, decency and modesty , tolerance , sense of right and benevolence , love of neighbor , respect for life , etc. . Severe penalties were imposed on those whose bad behavior disturbed the peace and harmony of the community.
It is natural to say that woman gives life and is best placed to know its value and better preserved. Positive examples show that in general women are actively involved in movements for peace, both within women's organizations within the country and abroad. Women have often benefited from a moral authority because of their role as mothers.

Whenever social harmony and human life were threatened, women have often been the ultimate bulwark against the madness of men.
